Egypt Announced Allowing 5-Year Visa for Remote Workers at an Affordable Cost

Egypt Introduces New 5-Year Visa for Remote Workers

Egypt has news for long-term travelers as it announces a new 5-year visa at an affordable cost.

Remote workers are the primary target for this new visa program, which aims to boost tourism in the country by up to 30% in the coming years.

The goal is to welcome 30 million visitors by 2028 to recover from the pandemic's losses. This is the first time Egypt has offered a visa with a validity longer than a year, and it is expected to be a smooth process for applicants from the list of 180 approved countries.

How to Get it

Tourists aged 16 and above can apply online through the E-Visa portal, and the visa is valid for multiple entries into the country. The price for the 5-year visa is $700, and there is no definitive date for its implementation yet.

Egypt is investing in tourism to become a more attractive destination to travelers. With this new visa program, the country wants to challenge traditional tourists to explore more than the Pyramids of Giza, as it is home to thousands of archaeological sites, six UNESCO World Heritage sites, and an underrated coastline.

Remote Workers

Remote workers could find Egypt an even more appealing destination with its creative way of bringing in digital nomads. With the trendy work-from-home environment that has taken over, Egypt is banking on attracting digital nomads to its bustling cities like Cairo and the beautiful waters of Sharm El-Sheikh.
